Cultured. North East has been championing and spreading the word about great North East Culture via all manner of platforms and publications since its launch in 2021.

Founded by award-winning journalists Sam Wonfor and David Whetstone, Cultured. North East moved over to Substack in September 2024 with a mission to bring regular recommendations of things to do and see across venues and attractions all over North East England as well as a weekly round up ‘Culture Digest’ of cultural news we think should be on your radar.

In addition, our website will be updated regularly with a variety of interviews, previews, reviews and features highlighting the people, organisations and places which make the North East such an incredible place to be.
