He’s just finished a string of sell out dates at Live Theatre celebrating the music of Crocodile Shoes, but Jimmy Nail has already sold out another pair of North East venues for his next live project.
Stories and Songs is the name of the tour the much-loved actor and chart-topping artist is taking on the road later this year - with dates at The Witham in Barnard Castle (July 10) and The Glasshouse (October 11) selling out as soon as tickets went on sale.
The tour is being billed as a series of intimate shows reflecting on a career that has helped shape British television, film and music for more than half a century.
Music, memories and rarely seen images will all be laid out on stage as Jimmy looks back on his time on screen in the likes of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet Spender, Crocodile Shoes and films Evita and Still Crazy - not to mention roles on stages in the West End and on Broadway and a music career which has seen him top the charts and sell millions of albums.
Jimmy will be joined on stage by long-time collaborator Tony Davis on keyboards and accordion.
Fans will be keeping everything crossed that some extra dates are in the offing. If so, do not tarry!
