New single and more good news for Katie Grace
Upcoming North Tyneside singer songwriter, Katie Grace released new single, Jodie ahead of a gig in London’s Camden alongside fellow North Easterner, India Arkin this week.
The song has been a staple of Katie’s live sets over the past year or so - including both Camp Bestival 2024 events where she shared the bill with the likes of The Darkness, Paloma Faith and Rick Astley in Dorset and Shropshire.

Katie, who won the Alan Hull Award in 2023, was also recently named as one of this year’s Generator First Notes artists - meaning she’s been chosen to benefit from the six-month programme for young artists (18-25) which offers support, industry mentoring and guidance as they develop their craft.
Currently study music at the prestigious Trinity Laban college in Greenwich, Katie said: “I’ve been playing Jodie live since last September and I feel like the song has just grown since then.
“I played the piano and sang in one live take before we added the beautiful harmonies and textures you hear in the finished track.
“Making the song in my university recording studio meant I got to work with people who I’ve met over the last year in London and who understood my music in a way that sometimes felt like they knew it better than me!
“This feels like a real step in the right direction of the music that I want to make.
“Having the level of creative control that comes with developing songs with people who aren’t only my peers, but also my friends, has pushed me to improve as a songwriter, musician and producer.”
