Howay the Lad ! Sam Fender kicks off three-night St James' residency
Tens of thousands packed into the Newcastle United stadium for the first of three historic gigs from the North Shields' singer
Last night hypersonic singing superstar, Sam Fender kicked off a trio of sold out stadium dates inside the home of his beloved Newcastle United - which now surely doubles as the church of Fender.
The Cultured. North East team will be reporting back from tomorrow’s People Watching tour gig (and if Saturday don’t come soon - some of us are going to looooooooooooose our minds) - but in the mean time, we thought we’d share a few photos from Thursday night’s black and white-soaked shenanigans.
Safe to say everyone is very excited.
I’ve purposely avoided the 89 stories from various North East news outlets guestimating every last detail of what fans could expect from the gigs - but I couldn’t help hearing glimpses of the show from my bedroom velux, last night (apologies for any passers by who caught wind of the sporadic sing-a-longs)… who’d have thought he’d play Seventeen Going Under and Hypersonic Missiles, eh?
