Hello and welcome to the Cultured. North East Culture Quiz 2025 - an annual chance to test your knowledge of happenings in and around North East culture over the past 12 months… and be in with a change of winning one of a trio of goodie bags designed to make sure you start 2026 with lots to look forward to.
We invited venues and attractions all over the region to donate a prize or prizes - and they’ve done themselves proud. Christmas spirit was flowing and we’d like to thank them all for making sure the 2025 Culture Quiz prize bundles are as brimming as ever.
All the prizes are listed below and will be shared out randomly (but equally) among the three goodie bags.

Answer as many of the 15 questions as you can and fill in your details to be in with a chance of winning one of the prize bundles.
Three winning entries will be selected at random, and the winners will be contacted and awarded the prizes as offered.
Deadline for entries is 5pm on January 4, 2026. Winners will be notified within 48 hours of the deadline.
Prizes are as stated and non-transferable. No cash alternatives will be offered. You must be over 18 years of age to enter.

There’s 3 x pairs of tickets to Les Ballet Trockadero, who are returning to Newcastle Theatre Royal on May 26 with their ‘sensational repertoire’ of hilarious and impressive pieces that pride themselves on challenging the norm.
We have 3 x Family tickets (2 x adults and 2 x children) to Beamish Museum in County Durham - the open-air living history attraction which continues to bring the North East’s past vividly to life… and is the region’s highest location for visits in the national league table. The tickets must be used in 2026.
Each goodie bag will also have 1 x pair of tickets to the world premiere of Astell & Woolf by acclaimed Shelagh Stephenson, which imagines a meeting between 17th century protofeminist, Mary Astell and novelist Virginia Woolf. The tickets are for May 14, 15 and 16, respectively at Live Theatre, Newcastle.
1 x pair of tickets for a each of the following screenings of much anticipated movies H is for Hawk; 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple; and Hamnet at Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle.
1 x pair of tickets for Scottish post-rockers Mogwai on February 26 at The Glasshouse; 1 x pair of tickets for Royal Northern Sinfonia’s performance of Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony on March 26 at Middlesbrough Town Hall; and 1 x pair of tickets for Max Cooper Live - a new audio visual experience - on May 21, also at The Glasshouse.



3 x pairs of one-day passes to Ushaw, the historic house, chapels, and gardens in Ushaw Moor, County Durham which showcases centuries of arts and heritage and offers a year-round programme of events.
