As I now live away from Ulverston I have only just heard this very sad news. I met John and Sue in 2019 when I was writing a book about Ulverston’s many festivals, a tradition bourne out of WSI and their various creative enterprises in the town. Their warmth, support and encouragement to me were precious gifts, and John in fact subsequently wrote an enthusiastic Foreword. They were just lovely people and I am very grateful to have known them, even though my contact with them was brief. Belatedly I send my love and renewed thanks to Sue and all the Fox family.

Thank you Ros. John - and Sue - had a tremendous impact on many lives around the country and around the world, but most especially on the Furness peninsula. They certainly had an impact on my life and work.
